Owners Saket Nigam & Sean Welsh worked together and previously decided to team up to open a business together. Saket grew up in North Carolina living primarily in Raleigh until he went to college at UNC Chapel Hill. After a few years in New York and DC, he moved to Charlotte and has loved it in the city ever since.

Sean has lived between New York, DC, and now most recently San Francisco. Saket & Sean are excited to be a part of the Mosquito Shield team and help everyone get outside. We saw a need for a great mosquito control service after repeated mosquito bites in our yards, and the offerings in the market were not sufficient, which led us to start our Mosquito Shield business.

Having lived in Charlotte for over 7 years, Saket has lived and worked in Charlotte for the last 7 years. Sean has spent time in Charlotte over the last 5 years for work and has family in the area. He is planning to relocate over the next couple of years and is excited to offer a service that helps the community.

The East Charlotte territory covers 4 NC Counties. Saket & Sean work in the mortgage industry managing the loan origination process. This experience has led them to understand that customers want the best experience with staff that will help them, listen to them, and do their best each time they talk or meet. They understand that their customers want to enjoy their home inside and out.

While they have experience on the loan side, now they want to help people enjoy their home in other ways. They both love food, but hands down barbecue must be their favorite. The Smoke Pit in Concord is worth stopping by because who can say no to Ribs & Mac & Cheese! They often try to go to the Whitewater Center because it has such a mix of things to do.

Between trails, whitewater rafting, and all the other activities, there is so much to do, and a year pass is well worth the cost to do it all. Sean and his fiancé enjoy taking their two dogs to Freedom Park on the weekends to relax and enjoy the outdoors. We are homeowners in Charlotte and can empathize with our customers because we have dealt with the same issues of mosquitoes until we found Mosquito Shield.
