What is Meckpathways?
MeckPathways is a partnership between Mecklenburg County Government and Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. The program provides students an opportunity to gain professional work experience that connects their classroom experiences and potential career choices. The goal of the program is to provide a variety of opportunities for students to learn about public service professions.
Other Information
Program Dates: June 10-August 2nd
Potential Work Week: 20-40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
Application process opens 2/1/24
Application process closes 2/29/24 (No Exceptions)
Applicant Requirement
Applicant must be a CMS high school junior or senior
Minimum Age: 16 years old by May 3, 2024
Must have a Social Security Number
No experience is required

Write an essay using the prompt, "I want to work for Mecklenburg County because..."
Ask a Teacher, Coach, or Administrator to send a letter of recommendation.
