LDA Engineering
We start with why...
STRONGER. HAPPIER. COMMUNITIES.
Our Communities are planning and addressing their infrastructure needs now, while also looking to the future. Clean and reliable water, safe and efficient transportation, greater accessibility and mobility, recreation, recycling, waste recovery, sustaining our natural ecosystems…just to name a few. There is a direct connection between thriving communities and strong infrastructure that enhances our daily lives and protect our natural environment.
Our approach begins with an engineering curiosity! We are committed first to learning and understanding what makes our communities stronger… what leads our communities to happiness. We then use our experience, critical thinking, and a creative approach to help you engineer a path to be even stronger and happier.

CULTURE AT
THE LDA FAMILY OF COMPANIES
Our “why” is rooted deep in community. We take pride in creating the infrastructure that powers everyday life for those around us to build STRONGER. HAPPIER. COMMUNITIES. Our culture is guided by core values that convey and influence what we do, how we do it and who we are.
Dedication to our clients is matched only by our dedication to the communities in which we live and work. It’s in our DNA to move outside our walls and dedicate our time, support and expertise to several organizations.
Organizations we are actively involved with include STEM Scouts, Future City Competition, Clean Water Professionals of Kentucky & Tennessee, American Public Works Association (APWA), Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE), the Great Smoky Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts of America and more.
Our desire is to see more women enter engineering fields, have more local and national support for engineering professions and start a movement to focus on creativity in engineering to produce better, more sustainable results.

CURIOUS & COMMITTED
Building stronger, happier communities isn’t just a saying, it’s in our DNA. I started at LDA as a receptionist under previous management. During the course of my time working for Jason Brooks, I’ve grown to become a manager and company stock owner. Our company genuinely cares about every employee, is committed to my professional development and brings out the best in me. I have become emboldened to learn different areas of our business, including accounting, marketing and graphic design. Good people and passion for the results of your work will transform your career.

COMMITTED, ENGINEER
When you value and develop hungry employees, you have a workforce that is committed to the greater good. That is what happened to me at LDA. We have ownership – of our projects from start to finish, of strategy and even of company stock – so when the business succeeds, we all benefit. Anything you can envision; you can make happen. My young son saw how LDA supported me and my education and now is grown and here at LDA, making up the next generation of problem solvers. It’s great to see the results of our work every day on quality of life – we really do make the world a better place.
To be valued can make all the difference. To have the trust from a company to pursue new knowledge and new areas of business helps employees develop ownership of their career and shows just how committed LDA is to developing each person who walks through the door. LDA is committed not only to the business, but also to the employees, providing flexibility for what happens outside of the office and encouragement for professional development. LDA makes me feel valued and supports my family, and that investment is priceless.

COMMITTED
LDA is COMMITTED to our clients, our projects, to the community and to each other. It’s great to be on a jobsite and see the impact of my work as engineer and problem solver. I think ownership is one of the keys that makes us all want to do better at LDA. We’ve been empowered. The level of experience and project management exposure for new employees – and even interns – at LDA offers growth you won’t find anywhere else, and that will have a lasting impact on what we contribute to our industry.
