ABOUT HOPPER COMMUNITIES
Bart Hopper, the founder of Hopper Communities, has over twenty-five years of experience in developing commercial, retail, and residential real estate. After relocating to Charlotte, NC, to work with Lincoln Property Company on the development of the Bank of America Corporate Center, he expanded his work to include retail and residential projects throughout the Carolinas. Seeing the positive impact that thriving neighborhoods can have on their communities, Bart shifted his focus towards the creation of residential neighborhoods, leading to the establishment of Hopper Communities in 2007, a development company specializing in designing and building residential communities.
Through his shared passion for developing vibrant, innovative neighborhoods and modern living spaces, Bart fostered a “family” environment at Hopper Communities. This vision is evident in the company’s approach to every project, as they aim to leave a positive impact on communities and provide long-term value to homeowners.
Since inception in Charlotte, NC, Hopper Communities has expanded to Raleigh/Durham, NC, Charleston, SC and Austin, TX, receiving “Developer of the Year” in 2023, and “Builder of the Year” in 2021 and 2022 at the MAME Awards – Major Achievements in Merchandising Excellence (MAME) Awards hosted annually by the Home Builders Association of Charlotte, North Carolina.
