Family Services of America Corp – “Families of USA” is a North Carolina-based, Black‑owned foster care and mental health service provider, operating since 2010 from Fayetteville. Licensed to deliver child placement services and outpatient therapy, they support individuals from birth through age 21 experiencing abuse, neglect, or behavioral challenges.
What They Do:
Foster Care & Therapeutic Foster Care:
Foster care is a temporary living arrangement for abused, neglected, and dependent children between the ages of birth to 21 who need a safe place to live when their parents or another relative cannot take care of them. Offering both standard and intensive, treatment-focused foster placements for children with emotional and behavioral needs
Outpatient & In‑School Therapy: Outpatient behavioral health services include assessment, treatment, (individual and group therapy, behavioral health counseling), and family therapy for recipients of all ages. Mental health counseling for individuals and families, including services delivered within schools to support students and teachers.
Therapeutic Care: Individualized and intensive supervision and structure of daily living designed to minimize the occurrence of behaviors related to functional deficits to ensure safety during the presentation of out-of-control behaviors.
Non‑Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT): Non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) is a type of medical transportation that provides access to medical care for those who are unable to drive themselves to the doctor's office or other medical appointments. Safe transit for clients to healthcare and related appointments
